Wēteri Celebrates Generous Gift from the Hugo Charitable Trust
Te Kura Waenga o Wēteri is celebrating the incredibly generous donation of a brand new school van from the Hugo Charitable Trust. The gift comes at the perfect time. Our previous van had reached the end of its life and was no longer safe or reliable, which placed real limits on our ability to get ākonga out into the community for sport, education outside the classroom and local learning experiences.
Our ākonga thrive when they can get out and experience the wider world. This van means more opportunities to take part in sport, support local events and participate fully in the rich learning we offer here at Wēteri. We are deeply grateful to the Hugo Charitable Trust for this incredible koha. Their generosity will make a genuine difference to our learners and our community.
The Hugo Charitable Trust supports initiatives that increase wellbeing, strengthen communities and remove barriers for tamariki. Their donation ensures that Wesley Intermediate can continue providing experiences that help ākonga belong, learn and thrive.
We are absolutely thrilled to receive this gift. It is heart-warming to see organisations investing in our rangatahi and believing in their potential.
